Tycho Brahe

(1546-1601AD)

Tycho Brahe was born in Denmark, and was known as a very talented observer of the skies, but not with a telescope, but with the naked eye. Tycho had an elaborate observatory, where many scholars would visit and observe the skies alongside Brahe. Tycho even taught a younger generation of astronomers the skill of observing.

Tycho's main contributions to astronomy were the instruments he built for his observations. He modified the instruments used for observations and revolutionized the accuracy of measurements taken from space. Tycho also changed the way he observed the planets and stars, paying for attention to the planets' orbits, to help pave the way for future discoveries regarding the orbits of planets.
